About Miss Daisy

Hiking into the Grand Canyon :)
Hiking into the Grand Canyon :)

Growing up, instead of playing house I would pretend being the CROCODILE HUNTER! Steve Irwin was my idol. I would pretend to wrestle an inflatable crocodile in the pool. I’m not trying to say that I wanted to be a  boy but looking at the tv, I never saw a GIRL doing that fun stuff. Girls want to do that stuff too! Even girls like me who like to wear heels and lip gloss.

So if I ever have the chance, I would like to pitch to Discovery Studios or to the travel channel the idea of a “girly” girl (like me) embarking on different adventures around the world, meddling with dangerous creatures, eating strange foods, and interacting with those who are native to the land.

But until then, I will be blogging about some of the places in the world that I have had the privilege to visit.

“Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.”
-Maya Angelou

    1. Well thank you! :) Believe it or not most of my trips have been through school sponsorships and by luck because I certainly do not have enough money to travel like this. But I intend to make travelling my job after graduation! :) The world is meant to be seen!
      Happy Travels,
      Daisy

  6. Good Luck Daisy, I hope you can be a new Steve Irwin (R.I.P.) for the documentary industry as a lady ! It seems like you like adventures, discovering and learning about new experiences, I hope the spirit of traveling will not leave you alone, ever :) I wonder where have you been so far around the world ?

    Take good care,

    Love and Peace !

  7. Wow Daisy, You are living my dream… well very close to it anyways. To travel, is my dream. At the moment however, that’s a long ways off. Although I’ve learned that looks can be deceiving, I must say, you appear very happy in all of your pictures and have an amazing smile. Then again, if I was traveling I’d be happy too! :D I wish you all the best in your travels. Look forward to following you.

    1. Well you will get there! :) I save every little penny that each paycheck brings to my broke-college-student-bottom. It’s a struggle sometimes when you see your peers going out all the time and buying gorgeous Michael Kors but then it’s totally worth it when you are in a foreign place! :) Those smiles are genuine because traveling is my passion and passion fuels the happiness in our hearts, right?
      Much love,
      Daisy

  8. Hello! You’re TV show pitch sounds similar to the British show, Idiot Abroad. Have you seen that? Half the time it makes me angry since the ‘idiot’ hardly ever seems thankful for his experiences. Your show sounds much better!

    1. Hello there!
Yes I have been wanting to visit South Africa and it is finally happening this summer. I will be there for an environmental journalism internship. Any tips? :)

  9. Hi Daisy. Thanks for stopping by my blog. You’ve got some great pics here. I heart the one of the beach at sunset. And I hope when you visited Abe at his Memorial that he had a few words of encouragement for you. Re-visit some time and browse through my blog. You might meet Katniss Everdeen. :)
