BONITA:
In Spanish bonita means pretty. Bonita is also the name of my Maltese-Llhasa mixed dog. Although it is hard to see in the picture above she was cutest darnest thing alive when we got her (and I still think she is!)! When the employees at the pet shop brought our a few puppies for us to see, Bonita was the pint-sized ball of energy. Our connection was instant! The day we brought her home she could fit in the palm of my Mom’s hand. We used to bathe her in an old popcorn bowl!

She was there for me after a rough day at school and I was there for her during thunderstorms (which she absolutely hated).
She peed on my shirt during one of my birthday parties (she had a weak bladder when she was little so I forgive her).
And even though she is a proper princess, she gets down right nasty if you try to bother her while she eats!
They weren’t kidding when they said dogs resemble their owners. Bonita is a spastic princess who loves to be loved, fed and caressed but also has a “don’t-mess-with-me” side and loves to run around and get messy. I love the she dances for me on her hind legs. I love the way she gallops towards me. I love how she gets upset if someone disturbs her while eating (much like her owner). I love how messy she always gets!
Yes I talk to her in a high pitched voice.
Yes I sneak her food from the dinner table.
AND yes I coddle her waaaaay too much.
Bonita was my first pet. And I will always love her.

Cuteee! How old is she now Daise?
11! :) It makes me sad thinking about it though :(
Wow!!! She’s been with you for quite some time…Why is it sad? Are you thinking about her lifespan?
Yes exactly. I wish dogs could live as long as their owners! Afterall, they are man’s best friend!
Linda :)
Claro que si! :)
