Our World is addicted to documenting.

Yet again I returned to the tranquil and beautiful South Mountain. Unlike my last visit to South Mountain, this time I was prepared with my Canon. I am ADDICTED with taking pictures. When I didn’t have my camera last week on the hike, I was bummed out that I couldn’t take pictures of flowers “springing” into action (pun intended haha); it was almost as if I had separation anxiety!

I have come to the conclusion that in this modern day and age, our world is addicted to documenting every single aspect of their life.

Smart phones have fed our craze to show off our lives. But why do we feel the need to do this? Is it to show off to others about the greatness of our lives? Or are we afraid of not remembering that precious moment in life?

Who knows.

    1. Exactly! It doesn’t make sense then to try and document everything. I know I have hundreds of pictures in my computer that I don’t have posted on Facebook or printed out for albums.
